Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you use Ayoo, we collect:

• Phone number — used to identify you at an event and, if you opt in, to send you SMS about that event.
• Profile info you submit — name, short self-introduction, interests, what you're looking for, what you can offer, preference and vibe.
• SMS consent state — whether you have opted in to receive text messages, and the timestamp of that choice.
• Operational logs — message delivery status, timestamps, and inbound/outbound SMS records needed to run the service.

2. How we use it

• To register you for an event and identify you at check-in.
• To match you with another attendee at the same event based on the profile you provide.
• If you opt in to SMS, to send you the apply link, match introductions, and related event messages.
• To operate, secure, and improve Ayoo.

3. What we do NOT do

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. Your mobile information (phone number and SMS consent) is not shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes.

4. Who sees your profile

Your profile is used to generate introductions to other attendees at the same event. When Ayoo suggests an introduction, a short summary derived from your profile may be shared with your match and with the event organizer. Your phone number is only shared with a match if both sides choose to continue the conversation off Ayoo.

5. Service providers

We use the following processors strictly to run the service:

• Hosting and database (e.g., Vercel, Supabase)
• SMS delivery (carrier gateway / messaging provider)
• AI providers (e.g., OpenAI) to summarize profiles and draft introduction messages. Inputs sent to these providers are limited to what is needed to produce the introduction.

These providers are contractually required to process your data only on our instructions.

6. Retention

We keep your profile and messaging records for as long as reasonably needed to run the service and to meet legal and carrier recordkeeping requirements. You can request deletion at any time (see Contact).

7. Your choices

• SMS opt-in is optional. You can use Ayoo's web forms and check in at an event without agreeing to SMS.
• Opt out any time. Reply STOP to any Ayoo SMS. We will stop sending messages to that number.
• Access / deletion. Email support@ayoo.chat to request a copy or deletion of your data.

8. Security

We use standard safeguards to protect your data (encrypted connections, access controls on our database). No system is perfectly secure — please use good judgment when sharing details in your profile.

9. Children

Ayoo is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We'll update the date at the top when we do. For material changes we'll try to give notice on the site.
