SMS opt-in & consent

Who Ayoo is

Ayoo is an SMS-based introductions service for live events. An event organizer posts an event code; attendees share a short profile; Ayoo suggests one-to-one introductions by text message. Contact: support@ayoo.chat.

Opt-in is optional

Agreeing to receive SMS is not required to attend an event or use Ayoo. You can share your phone number for event check-in without opting in to text messages. The SMS consent checkbox on our apply form is separate from the rest of the form and is unchecked by default.

What messages we send

If you opt in, Ayoo sends SMS messages only in connection with a specific event you joined. Messages may include:

• a one-time link to the apply form so you can complete your profile;
• a confirmation that your profile was received;
• a short introduction when we match you with another attendee;
• occasional follow-up about that match or the event.

We do not send promotional or marketing messages unrelated to the event you joined.

Message frequency & cost

Message frequency varies by event and is typically 2–6 messages during the event window. Message & data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.

How to opt in

There are two ways:

1. Web form. On the event apply page, tick the checkbox labeled "I agree to receive SMS from Ayoo about this event". The box is unchecked by default.
2. Text in. Send a text message to Ayoo's event number with the event code (for example Ayoo demo or my slug is demo). Sending that text confirms you want to receive SMS replies about that event.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any Ayoo SMS at any time. We will stop sending messages to that number. Reply HELP for help, or email support@ayoo.chat.

Privacy

Your phone number and SMS consent status are not sold or shared with any third party for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
